Helena Strömberg

Director of Master´s Program MPDES
Industrial Design Engineering

Helen Strömberg is a researcher at the Division Design & Human Factors, studying the role that design of products and services can play for creating the preconditions for sustainable everyday activities. The goal is to find ways of facilitating adoption of sustainable innovations, activities, and more resource efficient interaction patterns. She mainly work in the mobility domain at the moment. Helena has a PhD in the topic Human – Technology – Design, which she got in 2015 with a thesis entitled “Creating space for action – supporting behaviour change by making sustainable transport opportunities available in the world and in the mind”.

Before Helena started as a researcher, she studied at Industrial design engineering at Chalmers for both the bachelor and master, and is one of the first students that graduated from the Master’s programme Industrial Design Engineering. She has also studied Cognition science at GU, and managed to work a short period at Volvo AB before returning to academia.

Andreas Dagman

Director of the civilingenjörs program

Andreas doctorate in 2007 with the thesis ”Robust Form Division – Manging the Effect of Manufacturing Variation” and has since worked at Chalmers and Luleå University as a researcher and teacher in product development, durability, robust construction, variation simulation and CAD. He looks forward to his new role and to continue the work of developing the program in collaboration with the dedicated students who have chosen the program
